we stayed for two nights in granada
granada consists of a variety of muslim and christian monuments from a very rich past.
the highlight of granada (and very likely the entire trip) was la alhambra

click here for a big picture la alhambra is not only the most important, but also the best conserved arabian palace of its epoch. The name alhambra means "the red one" and refers to the color of the mountain, on which it is built.
the main muslim/arab monument in europe.

I think this was the ideal place for a tourist to stay in Granada as it was adjacent to La Alhambra and a short walk (or bus if you prefer) to the very colourful city and the Albaicin.

this place was so big, it seemed to go on forever
